Two-person personality compare
Put two people’s 16-type results side by side. Each person can enter the four dimension scores from this site’s OEJTS check, or just a four-letter type like INTJ — mixing the two is fine. Beyond which dimensions match, you get per-dimension readings plus concrete notes on being together, working together and where things tend to jam. There is no match score and nothing is uploaded.

How to read the comparison
Each dimension is shown as a low pole ↔ high pole line (e.g. I ↔ E). With real scores we draw each person’s position inside that dimension’s achievable range and tell you whether the two letters match; with only a type we show the letters and nothing more — no bars, no invented strength. A dimension score must pass the same cutoff the test uses, and a score sitting exactly on the cutoff is flagged instead of silently flipped.
Below the rows you get the full picture: each person’s type portrait, the temperament pairing (Keirsey SJ/SP/NF/NT), a cognitive function-stack comparison, a four-step decision guide (Myers’ S→N→T→F order) showing who covers which step, shared blind spots, and sections on being together, working together, disagreements and sticking points — plus a “what the research says” section with its sources listed. Everything is generated from the actual type pair and dimension pairings. Descriptive material, not a verdict: no match percentage, no pass/fail on the relationship.
Method and sources
- Method / source
- Uses the same scoring spec as our 16-type check (OEJTS 1.2): 8 weighted items plus a constant per dimension, a score above the cutoff takes the high pole's letter, a score exactly at the cutoff takes the low pole. Type-only entries compare letters without inventing strengths. The comparison text cites published research (Dyrenforth 2010, Malouff 2010, Tieger & Barron/Truity, Gottman 1998, Myers & Briggs Foundation type dynamics, Keirsey) with sources listed on the page; it gives no match score.
- Who it suits
- Two people who both took the same 16-type instrument and want their four dimensions side by side, or anyone who only knows the two four-letter types.
- Who it does not suit
- Hiring screens or relationship verdicts — typology reliability is too limited for that.
- Limitations
- It describes preference directions only — no match percentage or compatibility score; scores must be this test's raw scale, percentages from other tests are not interchangeable; entries never leave this device.

Frequently asked questions
Which scores do the four dimension fields take?
This test's (OEJTS) raw dimension scores: 2–34 for the I/E dimension and 8–40 for the other three. Finish the check here and tap 'Compare with a friend' to carry them over automatically. Percentages from other tests use different scales — use type mode for those.
What do I lose by entering only the four-letter type?
Type-only mode shows each person's preference direction (the letters) and nothing else — no positions, no gaps, and letters are never padded into invented scores. Positions appear only when raw scores are provided.
What happens at exactly the cutoff?
The same rule as the test: a score must be strictly above the cutoff to take the high pole's letter; exactly at the cutoff takes the low pole and is flagged 'at threshold'.
Are my entries uploaded or saved?
No. Nicknames, scores and types live only in this page's memory — never put in the URL, uploaded, or written to storage; they vanish when you refresh or close the tab. The PNG card is only created when you tap download.
