About this instrument

ASRS-v1.1 was developed with the World Health Organization and Harvard University. The six questions below are its Part A screener — answer for how you have felt and conducted yourself over the past six months.

The ASRS (Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale) v1.1 was developed under the World Health Organization and is one of the most validated screeners for adult ADHD. The full instrument has 18 items; its first six (Part A) capture most of the screening signal and are used here.

Scoring follows the official rule: questions 1-3 score 1 point at 'Sometimes' or more; questions 4-6 score 1 point at 'Often' or more. The total ranges 0-6, and 4+ is a positive screen. The option buttons apply the per-item thresholds automatically, so the total shown is the number of flagged items.

A real ADHD diagnosis also requires symptoms present since childhood and impairment across settings. No questionnaire alone can diagnose it — a positive screen only means further assessment is worthwhile.
